Biography

Finnish sailor Juha Siira won multiple titles during the 1970s and 1980s and was often paired with compatriot Pekka Narko. Siira and Narko won seven Finnish championships during their career with victories in 1973–75 and 1977–80. The pair sailed in the Tornado class at the 1976 Montréal Olympics where they finished 13th, before competing in the same event at the 1980 Moskva Olympics, improving on their earlier result to finish sixth. In between their two Olympic appearances they were named as the best Finnish sailors of 1978.
