Biography

Lotte Haidegger was Austrian shot put champion in 1946 and discus champion in 1951-52, and was the pentathlon champion in 1951. At the 1948 London Olympics, Haidegger finished fifth in discus, as she did at the 1952 Helsinki Games. At the 1950 European Championships she finished eighth in the discus. Haidegger married her team-mate Felix Würth and later emigrated to Canada where both died, in 2004 and 2014 respectively.
