Biography

Versatile athlete Gustav Krojer was Austrian champion in javelin throw (1911) and high jump (1913). He qualified for the 1906 Olympics when he won the 100 metres (11.4) and the triple jump (12.19 m), and finished second in the long jump, high jump (1.30 m), and standing high jump at the Austrian selection competition held in WAC Field Vienna (Wien) on 8 April 1906. In total, he won around 40 national championships.

Krojer participated in two Olympic Games, at Athens in the 1906 Intercalated Games, and 1912 at Stockholm. He was also nominated for the 1908 London Games but did not start. As a very versatile athlete Krojer participated in several different track & field events.

Krojer also played football (soccer) and won two international caps in 1911 against Hungary. He played with Union Zwischenbrücken, Wiener Sportvereinigung, and Wiener Sportclub. In 1905 and 1911, he won the Austro-Hungarian Challenge Cup. In 1912, he was runner-up with Wiener SC at the first Austrian Championships.
