Ingo Peyker

Ingo Peyker was a multiple Austrian champion in the pole vault (1966, 1968, and 1971-1973), long jump (1967, 1968, and 1970), and decathlon (1966, 1967, and 1972). He competed in the pole vault at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics but did not clear a height in qualifying.

Peyker studied biology, education, sociology, philosophy, and physical education. He became a professor at the Institute for Sports Sciences at the University of Graz, focusing on fitness, doping, sporting events, and school sports. Peyker was chairman of the Austrian Sports Science Society (ÖSG) from 1989-91.
