Biography

Spas Dzhurov was a decathlete who competed at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. He set seven Bulgarian records in the decathlon, the first in 1967, and his last in August 1970 at the Balkaniad in Bucureşti. He also won the Balkaniad in 1971. He was twice Balkan Champion, in 1968-69, and won six Bulgarian titles in the decathlon, along with one in the shot put. He continued competing through 1976, after which he retired.
