Biography

Danish track and field athlete Laurits Jørgensen competed in the pole vault, triple jump, and the 110 metres hurdles. Jørgensen won five national titles during his career with three in the triple jump (1918–20), and two in the pole vault (1922, 1924). He won his first medals at the Danish championships in 1915 with bronze in the pole vault and the 110 metres hurdles, with his final medal coming in the 1925 championships with a silver in the pole vault. Jørgensen competed in the pole vault at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics where he finished in sixth place with a best clearance of 3.60 metres.
