Biography

Danish athlete Artur Nielsen represented AIK 95 in København where he competed in middle and long-distance running races. Nielsen won his first medal at the Danish championships in 1919 with a silver in the 1,500 metres. The following year he returned to win gold in the event followed by gold in 8km cross-country race in 1921. Nielsen ran in the 5,000 metres and the cross-country race at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics but failed to finish in either event.
