Biography

Finland’s Arvo Laine was a track and field athlete who specialised in the high jump. Laine was a two-time champion at the Kaleva Games, winning in 1912 and 1913. At the 1912 Stockholm Olympics he cleared 1.75 metres but it was just short of the qualifying height of 1.83 metres to advance to the final.

Personal Best: HJ – 1.85 (1915).
