Biography

Finnish track and field athlete Lauri Wilskman represented Viipurin Reipas and later went on to found another club, Viipurin Akateemiset Urheilijat. At the 1908 London Olympics Wilskman finished in 22nd place in the high jump and competed in the discus, but the distance of his throw was not recorded. He was also scheduled to compete in the shot put but did not start the event. In 1911 Wilskman earned a degree in forestry, with him then working as a forest manager and inspector for the rest of his life.

Personal Bests: HJ – 1.74 (1908); DT – 40.24 (1915).
