Biography

Jack Archer had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1948 Olympics 4×100 metres Relay; 2nd in the 1950 British Empire Games 4×110 yards Relay (with Brian Shenton, Les Lewis, and Nick Stacey); 1st in the 1946 European Championships 100 metres. In the 1946 European Championships 200 metres Archer finished sixth. In the 1950 British Empire Games 100 yards as well as 1950 British Empire Games 220 yards he was eliminated in the semi-finals. In the British Empire Games he competed for England.

Personal Best: 100 – 10.6 (1946).
