Biography

Robbie Brightwell had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1964 Olympics 4×400 metres; 2nd in the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 440 yards, 2nd in the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 4×440 yards Relay (with Adrian Metcalfe, Barry Jackson, and the non-Olympian Bob Setti). In the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games Brightwell was eliminated in the semi-finals of the 220 yards. In the British Empire and Commonwealth Games he competed for England.

Personal Best: 400 – 45.6y (1962).
