Biography

Laurence Kiely succeeded his brother, Tom, as the Gaelic 120y hurdles champion in 1904 and he was the Irish AAA champion in 1906. He also won the Irish AAA hammer title in 1907, tied with Denis Carey of County Limerick. Kiely also won the Gaelic AA title in the hammer in 1901. He later became a farmer on the family plot in Ballyneal, County Tipperary.

Personal Bests: 120yH – 16.8 (1905); HT – 43.08 (141-4) (1906).
