Biography

Gloria Siebert first married cycling sprinter Detlef Uibel, later 1991 German national coach for female track cycling, and since 1996 also responsible for men’s track cycling. After their divorce, she married high jumper Carsten Siebert. Their son Sebastian was an internationally successful hurdler.

Gloria Siebert won a silver medal in the 100 hurdles at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. She also claimed silver medals at the 1987 Worlds, the 1990 Europeans, and the 1987 European Indoors. In 1987 and 1990 she won East German Championships.

Personal Best: 100H – 12.44 (1987).
