Biography

Sprinter Hartmut Schelter finished fifth with the 4x100 relay at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, where he also reached the semi-finals of the 100. The same year Schelter won East German titles in the 100, 200, and with the 4x100 relay. He was trained as a skilled textile worker.

Personal Best: 100 – 10.1 (1968).
