Biography

High, triple and long jumper Karl Thierfelder failed to reach the triple jump final at the 1960 Roma Olympics. At the 1962 European Championships he again failed to get past the qualifying. Thierfelder was East German triple jump champion in 1957 and 1960, and long jump champion in 1960. After his active career he became a coach for his home club, SC Dynamo Berlin.

Personal Best: TJ – 16.04 (1964).
