Biography

Ulrike Denk was a hurdles runner who reached the final of the 100 metre hurdles at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics finishing seventh. She also took part in the 1983 European Championships and at the European Cup in 1983 and 1985. At the European Indoor Championships she reached the finals of the 60 metre hurdles for four consecutive years, 1983-86. Domestically she won seven titles. Her father was the well-known Prof. Dr. Heinz Denk, sports scientist at the Sports Science Institute at Cologne.

Personal Best: 100H – 12.84 (1985).
