Biography

Willard Schmidt was a 6-10 (2.08) center from Creighton University who played for the McPherson Globe Oilers in the mid 30s. He was primarily a back-up center in 1936 when McPherson lost in the finals of the Olympic Trials and so was not named to the original team. However he was later added to the team and played well in Berlin for the Olympic team.
