Marilyn Neufville had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1971 Pan American Games 400 metres, 3rd in the 1971 Pan American Games 4×400 metres Relay (with Ruth Williams, Yvonne Saunders, and the non-Olympian Beverly Franklin).
Moved from Jamaica at an early age and competed for Great Britain where she grew up. She switched to Jamaica shortly before the 1970 Commonwealth Games in a move which was controversial.
