Biography

Ron Tomsic was one of Stanford’s greatest early hoopsters. While in college he set school marks for single game scoring (40) and career scoring (1,600 points). He was twice MVP of the team, twice All-Pacific Coast, and twice honorable mention All-American. After graduation he was playing AAU ball when he made the 1956 Olympic team. He continued to play AAU basketball, mainly with the San Francisco Olympic Club, eventually making the Helms Amateur Basketball Hall of Fame. He was a three-time AAU All-America and played on one AAU national champion.
