Norwegian distance runner Haakon Jansen represented IK Tjalve in Oslo during the 1920s. At the national championships Jansen only won one medal during his career, with a silver in the 5,000 metres in 1923. This performance, however, earned him a place at the 1924 Paris Olympics where he competed in the 3,000 metres team event.
