Biography

Boxer Josef Hamberger was Austrian light-middleweight champion in 1952 and therefore selected for that year’s Helsinki Olympics. He was knocked out by the Argentinian Eladio Herrera in round two. Domestically, Hamberger represented BC Guter Nachbar Linz.
