Biography

Berta Jikeli was a Romanian athlete who competed in the discus. At the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics she finished in 18th place in the discus throw. Jikeli was the first female competitor to represent Romania at the Olympics. In 1928 Jikeli threw 31.88 metres, a Romanian record that was not broken until 1936.
