Biography

Arvid Ringstrand was a Swedish track and field athlete who represented IFK Norrköping. In October 1907 Ringstrand set a national long jump record with 6.69 metres, which stood until 1909 when Knut Stenborg jumped 6.91 metres. Ringstrand competed in the 400 metres and the long jump at the 1908 London Olympics. In the 400 metres he finished in third place in his heat, not advancing to the semi-finals, and in the long jump his distance was not recorded.

Personal Bests: 400 – 52.3 (1907); LJ – 6.69 (1907).
