Biography

Bertil von Wachenfeldt had the following podium finishes at major championships: 3rd in the 1934 European Championships 400 metres, 3rd in the 1934 European Championships 4×400 metres Relay (with Sven Strömberg and the non-Olympians Pelle Pihl and Gustaf Eriksson), 3rd in the 1938 European Championships 4×400 metres Relay (with the non-Olympians Lars Nilsson, Carl Hendrik Gustafsson and Börje Thomasson). In the 1938 European Championships 400 metres von Wachenfeldt finished sixth.

Personal Best: 400 – 47.8 (1937).
