Biography

Jan Netopilík was a Czech long jumper. He represented Czechoslovakia at 14 international competitions from 1958 to 1962 and set four national records.

Netopilík was the Czechoslovak national champion in 1959 and 1960. He also competed at the 1960 Roma Olympics, but he failed to advance from the qualifying round. Netopilík suffered a further setback later the same year after he broke his leg.

After his athletics career, Netopilík coached sprinters in Slovakia. In 1964, he received the Master of Sport award, and in 1979 he was awarded with the Exemplary Trainer award.
