Biography

Leonid Voloshin was a triple and long jumper who competed at the 1988 and 1992 Olympic Games, just missing a medal at Barcelona when he finished fourth in the triple jump. He was a two-time medalist in the triple jump at the World Championships, with silvers in 1991 and 1993. Voloshin won the 1990 European Championships in the triple jump, won the European indoors in 1992 and 1994, and took silver at the 1991 World Indoor Championships. In 1994 he set a world indoor best in the triple jump with 17.77.

Personal Bests: LJ – 8.46 (1988); TJ – 17.77i (1994).
