Biography

After winning the Central Olympic Trials in a career best of 48.0, Alderman withdrew from the Final Trials but was selected for the relay squad in Amsterdam. He ran poorly in the Olympic final, with an estimated time of no better than 49.4 on the third leg, losing ground to both Werner Storz (GER) and John Rinkel (GBR). He won the IC4A 440y for Michigan State in 1927.
