Biography

Ken Flax threw the hammer at the 1988 and 1992 Olympic Games. His two biggest international wins were at the 1991 Universiade and the 1989 Maccabiah Games. Flax also competed at the World Championships in 1987 and 1991, the 1986 Goodwill Games, and won another World University medal with a bronze in 1989.

Flax competed in college for the University of Oregon. He won two Pac-10 Championships and the 1986 NCAA title, after placing third in 1985. He was US Champion in 1988 and 1990, runner-up in 1989, and placed third at nationals in 1985, 1987, 1991, and 1992.

Personal Best: HT – 80.02 (1988).
