Biography

John Gallagher ran distances for Yale. It is unclear how he was chosen for the 1912 Olympic marathon as he never placed in any Trials races in 1912. At the 1912 Boston Marathon, he took the lead in the race at about 9 miles, but later withdrew.

Personal Best: Mar – 2-44:20 (1912).
