Biography

Eddie Genung won the NCAA 880y in 1929 and later won the AAU 800/880 from 1930-32. He also finished second in the AAU Meet in 1929. He competed for the University of Washington and the Washington AC. Genung was first on the 1931 US list with 1:51.9 for 880 yards. At the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics he just missed out on a bronze medal. Genung was inducted into the University of Washington Hall of Fame in 1982.
