Biography

Henri Baur qualified for the athletics competitions at the 1906 Olympics. He won the discus throw (29.38 m), finished second in the Ancient pentathlon and shot put, and third in the discus throw Greek style and stone throw (10.98 m) at the Austrian selecting competition held in Vienna (WAC field) on 8 April 1906. He also won a silver medal in the Greco-Roman heavyweight wrestling event at the 1906 Intercalated Olympics. He was also a member of the Austrian tug-of-war team placing fourth. In 1903 he won the Wrestling Middle European Championships in the heavyweight class.
