Bob Leavitt attended Williams, but withdrew after his sophomore year and never graduated. While at Williams, he tied the college record of 15.8 for the 120y hurdles in May 1905, and although he failed to approach this time at the Athens Olympics, he succeeded in winning a close and exciting final. After college, Leavitt initially joined New England Tel & Tel in Boston, but later worked for many years as treasurer of the Brighton Cooperative Bank.
