Biography

Bertil Ahlin won seven Swedish amateur titles between 1946 and 1953. The first three were won in the bantamweight division, the next three at featherweight and the final one, in 1953, was in the lightweight division. Following his silver medal in the 1947 European Championships and an impressive run of international victories Ahlin was considered as a medal possibility for the 1948 Olympic Games but performed below expectations and lost his opening bout.
