Biography

Eva Hög took up cross-country skiing in the 1950s and made her international début for Finland at the 1958 World Championships, where she was ninth in the 10 kilometers. She then won the 5 and 10 kilometer titles at the 1959 national championships and went on to represent Finland at the 1960 Squaw Valley Olympics. There, she was 17th in the 10 kilometers. Hög was also a competitive cyclist and won five national titles: the 50 kilometers road race, the time trial, and the 3 kilometer track race in 1960, and the 50 kilometers road race and 3 kilometers track race in 1961.
