Alpine skier Janine Monterrain was only 18-years-old when she represented France at the 1960 Squaw Valley Olympics. Monterrain finished 13th in the giant slalom, three seconds behind the winner, and 38th in the downhill. In February 2024 she was invited to an exhibition in her hometown of Chamonix linked to the centenary of the 1924 Winter Olympics.
