Biography

Luiza Noskova took up biathlon in 1985 and made her international début at the 1989 World Championships, where she won gold in team event. The next major international tournament at which Noskova competed was the 1994 Olympics, where she won a gold medal in the relay race. Noskova also won the 7.5 km and relay at the 1989 Winter Universiade and gold at the 1997 European Summer Biathlon Championships. Noskova retired from sports in 1998 and after graduating from Tyumen State Agricultural Institute, has worked as a lecturer with Tyumen State University. She has also been the deputy director of the Department of Sport and Youth Policy of the Tyumen oblast.
