Biography
Luger Bernhard Aschauer won the West German national title in the doubles with Hans Plenk in 1968, and this qualified them for the Grenoble Winter Olympics that year. The pair failed to reach the podium, finishing an unfortunate fourth. Aschauer later directed the sledge run in his hometown, Königssee.
