Biography

Austrian alpine skier Werner Bleiner participated in the 1968 Grenoble and 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics, both in giant slalom. At Grenoble he was disqualified on the second run, and at Sapporo he placed 18th. In 1970, Bleiner won the silver medal at the World Championships, also in giant slalom. Bleiner won two FIS races during his career and added five more podiums (three seconds and two thirds).
