Biography

Wolfgang Boos started his career as a forward at ESV Kaufbeuren in 1963, and stayed there for four seasons before he moved to Düsseldorfer EG, playing with them until 1978 becoming German Champion 1972 and 1975. His best year was 1976 when he won a bronze medal at the Winter Olympics and played in his only World Championship. He was the father of Tino Boos, who also became a national player for Germany. In his later years Wolfgang Boos became an excellent tennis player, winning several titles in the senior classes in Düsseldorf and upper regions.
