Having just become a teenager, Czechoslovak ice hockey player Miloslav Charouzd began his career with LTC Praha in 1941 and won the junior championship. When Charouzd turned 18 he joined HC Podoli for the 1946–47 season before joining LTC Praha two years later, winning his first senior title the same season. After playing for several clubs he finished his career at TJ Spartak Praha Sokolovo, spending a decade with the team where he won back-to-back titles in the early 1950s. Charouzd played in 49 matches for the Czechoslovakia national team, which saw him win gold at the 1949 World Ice Hockey Championships and finish fourth at the 1952 Oslo Olympics. He retired from the sport in 1965 and worked as a sports commentator and writer for a weekly sports magazine. In 2010 he was inducted into the Czech Hockey Hall of Fame.
