Biography

Harald Duschek was an East German ski jumper who participated in the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Games. He placed 33rd in the large hill event. In 1977, he had his greatest moment when winning the bronze medal at the Four Hills Tournament, and the following year he won the Holmenkollen event. In 1977-78 and 1980 Duschek won the East German nationals in the normal hill event, and in the large hill event in 1979.

After reunification Duschek moved to West Germany and took a job as a physiotherapist at Eberbach in Hessia. There, he led the medical training at the local rehabilitation centre.
