Biography

Hervé Flandin competed for the French biathlon team from 1985-97, winning 13 French titles during his career. To his 1994 Olympic bronze medal in the relay, he added three World Championship medals, two silvers in the relay in 1990 and 1995, and a bronze medal in the team event in 1995. On the World Cup circuit, Flandin appeared on the podium seven times, winning one individual event, and earning three individual podium places. He started 92 times in individual World Cup races. Flandin later settled in his native region and became director of tourism for the Savoie.
