Biography

Roland Freier was an East German speed skater participating in the 1988 Calgary Winter Games. He placed eighth in both the 5,000 and 10,000 metre events. From 1986-88 he won five national titles.

Personal Bests: 500 – 38.87 (1988); 1000 – 1:18.6 (1988); 1500 – 1:55.99 (1988); 5000 – 6:51.42 (1988); 10000 – 14:19.16 (1988).
