Biography

Davey Armstrong was 1975 Pan American Games featherweight gold medalist. He was an AAU Champion in 1972, 1975-76, and 1979. He turned professional a few years after the 1976 Olympics, and began an excellent professional career in 1980. Fighting as a lightweight, he won 22 of his first 23 professional fights, but for some reason, never earned a title shot. He retired in 1983 and later became a bookkeeper for the city of Seattle.
