Swiss ice hockey player Émile Golaz began his career with Rotweiss Basel in the 1946–47 season. After three seasons with the club Golaz joined Young-Sprinters HC in the early 1950s, where he spent the rest of his playing career. Throughout the 1950s he also made multiple appearances for the Swiss national team, including winning gold at the 1950 European Ice Hockey Championships in London. Golaz also competed in the ice hockey tournaments at the Olympics in Oslo and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
