Biography

Günther Göllner was a West German ski jumper who competed at the 1968 Grenoble and the 1972 Sapporo Winter Games. Göllner had limited success, finishing 10th in the 1968 normal hill event as his best result. His career began with the Four Hills Tournament in 1962/3, where in 1965/6 he earned a surprising podium finish, placing third. In 1968 he claimed his only West German national title in the normal hill event.

Göllner later became one of the most successful coaches in West Germany. In 2012 he was named Coach of the Year by the German Skiing Association.
