Biography

Czech born Gustav Hanig was a forward on the West German ice hockey team that finished seventh at the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics. He earned 112 international caps and scored 52 goals. Domestically Hanig played with EV Füssen (1962-75) and helped them win West German championships in 1963-65, 1968, 1969, 1971, and 1973. In 1999, he was inducted into the German Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.
