Biography
West German luger Stefan Ilsanker partnered Georg Hackl at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics in the men’s doubles but finished an unfortunate fourth. They had won the silver medal at the 1987 Worlds one year earlier. In 1990, Ilsanker also won a silver medal with the team at the Europeans. In 1986, 1987, 1989, and 1990 Ilsanker and Hackl also won national titles.
