Biography

Pertti Koivulahti was a Finnish ice hockey player who just missed a medal at the 1976 Winter Olympics, when Finland placed fourth. Koivulahti mostly played center. He played his entire club career from 1968-84 with Tappara Tampere. In Liiga he was an All-Star in 1977-78 and was Finnish Player of the Year in the 1976/77 season.

In addition to his Olympic appearance, Kouvulahti played at the World Championships five times, in 1977-79 and 1981-82. He also played at the 1977 Canada Cup, and made his international début in 1970 at the European Junior U-19 Championships. Kouvulahti was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1992.
