Biography

Xaver Kraus participated as a biathlete at the 1968 Grenoble Olympics. He finished 39th in the individual 20 km event and ninth with the West German team. As a cross-country skier he won the Bavarian titles over 15 km in 1964, and over 30 km in 1965. In 1966 and 1967 Kraus participated in the Biathlon Worlds. He later owned a guesthouse in his hometown Reit im Winkl together with his wife.
